We blogged about the building process of our house to document it for ourselves and to help others. Our house is finished and we have moved in and we love our home. Building a house isn't a process that goes perfectly, no matter what builder you pick, and this is our story. Every problem we had during the building process has been made right by Ryan homes. This isn't complaint blog, its how we felt at the time of our post during the building process.

Just an update

We are still waiting to break ground. We are scheduled for May currently, but that could change depending on the weather. As we know April is known for April showers. Lol. We are waiting for the developers to pave our street before we can break ground. It looks like we have electric and plumbing run down our street with the gutters in, but I'm no expert. So next will be gravel and curb then pavement. Our SR has really been great clearing up the questions we been having about this delay. I know ryan homes is trying their hardest to end this delay and break ground on our house.

We stopped by the model that just opened in our neighborhood last weekend and it looks great. We had a couple questions about our house after viewing the model, about what things were included vs upgrades. Seeing something in person is always better then reading about it. We found out that they plan to have our community center with the pool ready for next summer, this is a nice surprise. I wonder if this center includes a gym, I forgot to ask. We got to meet some of our future neighbors too.

I'm praying for good weather in April and May so we can get this thing started. :)

Here are some pictures (not of our actually house)

Looking down our street.

Panoramic of our street

This what our elevation will look like, plus the Front load garage and different colors. Just a picture we found online.

The size we think our tub will be. :) this was in one of models being built in our community.

Our favorite light and window in the house. It's in the stairway.

The floor we switch to for our kitchen. Finally got a picture, as I forgot to take one when we made the switch.

We went couch shopping after looking at the model. We want this in a dark brown. We love how the corner seat is an actual seat, not wasted space like most sectionals.

  1. I love your panoramic pic. If you select "Shrink to fit", it will keep the whole image, but shrink it down to fit your current page width.
